According to the Mexican authorities, the construction of the international airport Felipe Carrillo Puerto in Tulum will be completed in December this year.
The need for its construction in Tulum arose ten years ago when the popularity of this resort among tourists increased. The city is on the Mayan Riviera on the Caribbean Sea in the Yucatan Peninsula.
Construction of the airport in Tulum began in 2020. According to the project, it will have several terminals, a modern passport control system, two baggage claim areas, a cafe, and comfortable waiting rooms. From this air harbor, flights will be launched not only to the cities of Mexico but also to more than 100 airports around the world.
