At least three popular sea resorts have announced the return of the mask regime against the backdrop of an increase in coronavirus cases. Moreover, we are talking only about the Mediterranean, in other regions, there is a similar trend. If we extrapolate the trends of two years ago, we can assume that, with the probability of people, the borders of the countries may start to close again in a couple of months…
So, masks were announced not only in Cyprus but also in the resort province of Valencia in Spain. In addition, from July 11, masks will return to Nice, France. True, the return rules are limited each time, but the frightened tourism business is already sure – we will soon be closed again.
In the Valencia region of Spain, the hoteliers’ organization Hosbec has required employees to wear masks to prevent infection and related deaths. The decision was taken after Spain and Valencia saw a significant increase in coronavirus cases. At the same time, it is emphasized that there is currently no requirement for masks to be worn across the country, but hotels are accepting them in case new ones are added to the problems caused by staff shortages across Europe.
In Nice, France, masks will return to public transport. The requirement will come into effect on July 11. The mayor of Nice, Christian Estrozi, said that a decree had been signed in the “metropolis of Nice”, which covers the city and surrounding towns, strengthening the requirement to wear a mask on public transport. From July 11, a mask will be mandatory for passengers on buses and trams in the metropolis of Nice.
In Thailand, they are also discussing the mandatory return of the mask regime. To return to the “covid” rules – at least in the sense of wearing masks in public places – such a measure is advocated by the Thai covid operational staff. The return of the mask regime began to be discussed at a meeting between Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Ocha and representatives of the Center for the Control of the Situation with Covid-19 (CCSA). If this continues, a return not only to masks, but also to lockdowns and forced vaccinations, and tourism will once again come to an end.
