The Malaysian authorities have decided to cancel PCR tests for vaccinated foreigners both on entry and on arrival from May 1. This was stated by the Ministry of Health of the country.
To enter Malaysia, vaccinated tourists need to register in the MySejahtera application and upload a vaccination certificate there.
Partially vaccinated or unvaccinated tourists must take a PCR test a maximum of 48 hours before departure, and after arriving in Malaysia, take a rapid antigen test within 24 hours and observe a five-day quarantine.
Recall that Malaysia opened to vaccinated foreigners on April 1.
In addition, a number of anti-coronavirus measures within the country are being canceled. So, masks are no longer required on the street, but are recommended in crowded places, while indoors and public transport are still mandatory. Social distancing has also been lifted. Entry to the premises is permitted regardless of vaccination status. Coronavirus patients can leave quarantine on the fourth day if the test result is negative.
