A lawsuit has been filed against a five-star resort hotel in Cape Verde. More than 80 British tourists have reported mass poisoning while on vacation. The Daily Mail writes about it.
The victims lived in the luxurious Riu Palace Santa Maria hotel. According to them, the cause of the poisoning was an intestinal infection, which they contracted during their stay at the hotel. While some guests suffered from diarrhea and other severe symptoms, others required urgent hospitalization.
For example, 46-year-old Elizabeth Sutton was on the verge of a stroke. She recalls that the hotel room had “an unbearable smell of sulfur” and that the restaurant provided fly food and raw meat.
