At the Arkansas airport, lightning struck an American Eagle plane that landed during a storm.
The video of the incident was published by the Daily Mail. It is specified that the Embraer E175 liner was waiting on the runway when the storm subsided to taxi to the gate.
Off-camera, a cameraman, referred to in the press as Jason William Hamm, is heard talking about a previous lightning bolt that struck a few moments ago: “I don’t think it hit the plane, but it would have made an amazing video anyway.”
And it did come out: just a few seconds later, another furious flash hit the tail of the aircraft, to the delight of the enthusiastic hooting passengers.
In the video, a stream of sparks can be seen emanating from the tail, while some onlookers simply shout “wow”, while others add: “wow, but this may not be good.”
According to eyewitnesses, “as a result of the incident, no one was injured, everything is in order with the plane, it safely taxied to the exit, and after it was examined for possible technical damage,” the source said.
