According to Kyodo News, the Japanese authorities have decided to resume the reception of foreign tourists arriving as part of tourist groups from June 10. This was stated by Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
The portal recalls that Japan has already begun in test mode to accept small groups of tourists from several countries – Australia, Singapore, the United States, and Thailand. It is noted that concessions will be implemented in stages.
In addition, international flights to/from Naha and New Chitose airports will resume in June, from where you can get to popular tourist destinations in Okinawa and Hokkaido.
The Japanese government continues to advise tourists to observe anti-coronavirus measures in Japan, including wearing masks and social distancing.
