Italy may open to foreign tourists in April

According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi expects the country to open to tourists after March 31.

The Italian authorities do not plan to extend the current entry restrictions for foreign tourists after March 31. The government expects that the opening of borders for tourism can happen as early as the Catholic Easter.

Italian Tourism Minister Massimo Garvalla urges to hurry up and stresses the need to keep up with other European countries that compete with Italy in the tourism market.
