Indonesia is lifting quarantine for fully vaccinated visitors, Bloomberg reports. Incoming visitors are still required to be tested for Covid-19.
Also, there is no longer a rule requiring you to book certain hotels from the list approved by the Ministry of Tourism for the first four days of your stay in Bali. Now vaccinated tourists can visit the country, but a business visa and a 72-hour PCR test are still required.
Tourism Minister Sandiaga Uno said at his weekly briefing on Monday that the decision came after a two-week trial period in Bali, Bintan and Batam.
With this move, the country is set to end a two-year border closure, following the example of its neighbors in easing entry restrictions, as Southeast Asia has already weathered the worst of the waves of the new strain of the omicron coronavirus.
