Turkey has extended the time allowed for loud music and live performances in bars, cafes and restaurants until 1 am, Turkish state television and radio company TRT-Haber reported.
The decision was made due to the reduction in the number of coronavirus cases in the country. It was adopted at the request of representatives of the tourism industry in connection with the approaching summer tourist season. The decision to extend the time allowed for loud music in restaurants was taken jointly by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Environment, Urban Planning and Climate Change, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The relevant document was sent to all 81 valleys in Turkey.
Recently, the number of coronavirus infections in the country is declining. In the last twenty-four hours, 1,858 new infections have been registered. Seven people lost the battle with the coronavirus, and in 1511 they recovered.
85.5 percent of the country’s population was vaccinated against coronavirus, and 93.2 percent received the first dose of the vaccine, according to BTA.
