The departure of a Delta flight was disrupted due to a huge swarm of bees that settled on the wing of the plane. It is reported by the Daily Mail.
The plane was scheduled to fly from Houston to Atlanta around noon on May 3rd. Ground personnel at the airport noticed a lot of insects on the wing of the aircraft, as a result of which the flight was delayed for several hours. Rescuers and beekeepers were called to the air harbor, but attempts to clean the ship were unsuccessful.
In this regard, the airline decided to give up the runway to another airliner. As soon as the pilot started the engines to overtake the ship, the insects flew away.
“Believe it or not, Delta Flight 1682 from Houston Bush to Atlanta was delayed this afternoon after a friendly group of bees seemed to want to discuss our aircraft engines. No doubt wanted to share an update about flight conditions,” the carrier’s press service joked about the situation.
