Entertainment on the main “party” street of Pattaya Walking Street will be taken under close control. According to the authorities of the resort, this will make the rest of the tourists better and safer. Changes will also take place on the popular tourist Khaosan Road in Bangkok.
It is impossible to imagine Pattaya at night without its main entertainment “trump card” – Walking Street, where the idle public relaxes daily in various bars and clubs.
Bars and clubs checked on Walking Street
To ensure that eager tourists receive a high level of service on Walking Street, local authorities and the police are constantly monitoring the life of this fantasy universe, putting things in order if necessary.
Recently, this need arose again – there were two major incidents on Walking Street. Then the Pattaya police arrested the bars for illegal activities and several hundred law enforcement officers visited the epicenter of Pattaya oblivion with important news from the resort authorities.
The initiative aims to clear Walking Street of illegal bars and clubs
The resort has launched a new project to combat the illegal operation of bars and other violations in the activities of entertainment establishments, Thai media write.
The police once again reminded us that bars and clubs that open after 2 am, thereby violating the established rules, will be punished. Clubs offering banned substances to guests and those operating illegally will also face severe penalties. Also, the police will strengthen control over the life of the street as a whole.
Pattaya authorities and health officials, drug enforcement officers, tourists, and immigration police will monitor the correctness of life on Walking Street.
Colonel Patikorn Sornchai, Deputy Police Chief of Chonburi Province, said that Pattaya is a very important tourist city in Thailand and everything possible is and will be done to ensure a comfortable stay for tourists.
“We want to reassure tourists that their stay on Walking Street and Pattaya, in general, is safe,” Patikorn Sornchai said.
As for the recent inspections on Walking Street, Bang Lamung District Chief Fisit Sirisawasdinukul will be asking the provincial governor to close the Dragon Man bar for five years as a result. The Pattaya Go-Go bar will also be closed.
Nightlife in Bangkok will be quieter
The sleepless Khaosan Road in Bangkok will also see some changes. You won’t have to see your favorite bar closed there, but the fun will subside a little.
The city administration received complaints from residents about loud music.
The administration ordered that the average noise level in establishments during working hours should not exceed 90 decibels. And the venues where musicians perform and discos take place should be closed and with sound and vibration-insulating walls.
