In Hurghada, a new attraction is being created for tourists, and right in the sea

A new attraction for tourists is being created in Hurghada, and right in the sea: Major General Amr Hanafi, governor of the Red Sea Province, announced plans to create the first museum just under the water of the Red Sea.

The museum will offer tourists 3 alternative places for diving and snorkeling in Hurghada and is being prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Red Sea Reserves. It will also combine two goals – to entertain tourists, ensure their safety, and preserve the natural coral reefs of the Red Sea.

“The museum near the shores of the Red Sea province is designed to reduce the burden on natural coral reefs and create new coral reefs, as well as unforgettable experiences that combine the charm of history and the beauty of nature,” – said the head of the resort province.

Judging by the explanation of the authorities, the new attractions that attract tourists will be specially submerged vehicles — “ancient equipment that played a decisive role in the military history of Egypt.”

In the museum, as Egyptian officials promise, tourists “can discover hidden treasures and sea creatures that will attract them.” A total of 15 pieces of equipment will be sunk to the bottom of the sea in three locations – Shaab-es-Sakala, Uruk-et-Tawil, and Arg-Jama in Magawish, which will create new diving sites in Hurghada. The opening of the museum is planned for next Thursday.
