On the Bali beach, Legian caught a three-meter crocodile. The reptile swam in shallow water and at first, the rescuers mistook it for a piece of wood. When they realized who they were dealing with, they quickly alerted the tourists with whistles. The crocodile was immobilized with ropes.
Previously, there were no such cases in Bali, so the incident pretty much frightened numerous vacationers, now they are afraid that there may be other crocodiles in the water. Locals suggest that this predator somehow escaped from captivity.
Typically, crocodiles avoid beaches and tourist areas, living mainly in coastal areas in western Indonesia in swampy thickets near wide estuaries.
There are two reptile parks in Bali – Indonesia Jaya Reptile & Crocodile Park and Rimba Reptile Park, where a close natural habitat has been created for them. None of the farms reported missing.
