An evening walk through the picturesque places of Antalya province ended in tragedy — five tourists fell into a well, and one died. Everything happened on the popular route on the Egrigel plateau – writes the Turkish publication Turizm Guncel.
According to the publication, a group of 30 tourists – their nationality is not specified – went to Gundogan for an excursion. Their evening itinerary included a popular excursion in the foothills of Mount Heyik on the Egrigel plateau near the lake of the same name – the area is called the Antalya Alps.
However, instead of a pleasant walk, there was an accident. Five tourists lost their way and fell into a well in the area. Their friends hastily called the 112 emergency center, and AFAD (local emergency department), gendarmerie, and forestry workers arrived at the signal.
As a result, one of the tourists died, and the remaining four were sent to the hospital. Their condition is satisfactory.
