How to spend an unforgettable vacation in Europe inexpensively

From camping on the Black Sea to a cool Portuguese surf house, there are wonderful places to stay across Europe from £50 according to The Guardian.

The publication writes that all prices are the cheapest (at the time of publication) for July/August and are based on maximum capacity.

Holidays with a budget of less than £100 per week

Southern Montenegro

The campsite is located on a long beach in the south of Montenegro, marked with a blue flag, with areas under pine trees for tents, campers, and caravans. There are also bungalows with garden or sea views, as well as an outdoor pool, children’s playground, and barbecue areas.

There is a beach club vibe with swings, cabana-style lounge chairs, and a sand restaurant that is open until midnight every night and offers traditional Montenegrin dishes as well as seafood, pizza, and cocktails. The campsite is four miles from beautiful Ulcinj, which has several beaches and a walled old town close to the Albanian border.

From £65 for seven nights of camping

Black Sea, Bulgaria

Camping Krapec is surrounded by forest and a four-kilometer-wide sandy beach, which is part of a nature reserve on Bulgaria’s northernmost Black Sea coast, north of the resort town of Varna, close to the Romanian border.

On the territory, there are 300 shady places for tents under trees, 80 places for campers and caravans, as well as five types of bungalows (120 in total). During summer, the Sunrise Bar hosts parties with live music, an arts festival, and film screenings. It serves fish specialties, homemade fruit, and vegetables, as well as cold beer and homemade brandy.

From £48 for seven nights of camping

Aran Islands, Ireland

Three campsites overlook the white sand Frenchman Beach on Inis Mór, the largest of the three Aran Islands in Galway Bay. Aran Islands Camping & Glamping also has 24 glamping pods based on ancient beehive-shaped stone huts that used to be occupied by religious hermits and are still scattered throughout the island.

The buildings are built with sustainable materials: the reception block is made from rocks washed up on the beach during winter storms, while hot water and lighting are powered by solar energy. This location is within walking distance of the island’s main town, Kilronan, where there are shops, bars, restaurants, and the ferry port.

From £93 for seven nights of camping

Northern Greece

Camping sites are located among olive trees, eucalyptus, and pine trees next to two private white sand beaches on family land in the Sithonia peninsula of Chalkidiki. Areti Camping & Bungalows also offers 19 wooden cottages and eight stone bungalows for rent.

Vacationers can swim to three small islands in the Aegean Sea 300 meters from land, and other outdoor activities include water sports, tennis, volleyball, and hiking. The nearest town is Neos Marmaras, seven miles from the recreation area.
