In the Colombian city of Medellin, which the source calls the “drug capital of the South American state”, three women beat a British tourist and stole his expensive phone. The incident was caught on CCTV video and published by the Daily Mail.
The “shocking footage,” a source describes it, shows a “gang of women” dressed in miniskirts approaching a man walking down a downtown street late at night. Two criminals began to chase him and grab his backpack, and another crept up behind him and hit him on the head. The girls threw the tourist to the ground and began to beat him with their hands. Despite the fact that there were many witnesses on the busy street, no one tried to help the victim.
Soon the police arrived at the scene and arrested the perpetrators. The law enforcement authorities said that they returned the stolen phone to the foreigner.
Recently, there have been reports of increased cases of theft and robbery on the streets of a major South American city. In the first quarter of 2023, there were 230 theft complaints from tourists in Medellin, representing a 666 percent increase compared to the same period of the previous year, according to El Tiempo.
