People are asked to limit their movements if possible: do not go out unless absolutely necessary, motorists are advised to use wheel chains to avoid slipping.
The country’s authorities hope that last year’s situation will not repeat itself: then, due to snowfalls, electricity supply was disrupted, thousands of trees collapsed, unable to withstand the weight of the fallen snow.
