A disabled British passenger complained that flight attendants “made her endure a humiliating and shameful flight”. It is reported by the New York Post.
According to the publication, Jennie Berry, who actively advocates for the rights of people with disabilities, flew from England with her boyfriend. She asked the crew members for a wheelchair to get to the toilet.
@wheelie_good_life Here’s how I had to get to the toilet on my recent Albastar Airlines flight. They told me I should wear a nappy and wee in my seat instead of having an aisle chair onboard…
However, there were no means for transporting wheelchair passengers on board, the crew members replied that “disabled people should fly in diapers.” As a result, the British woman had to crawl to the toilet, while the flight attendants continued to serve food and drinks on board.
A young man, Berry, filmed a woman moving down the aisle, pushing off the floor with her hands. Subsequently, the couple posted this video on the network.
At the end of June, the flight attendants of the British low-cost airline Jet2 refused to help an elderly wheelchair user get off the plane. As a result, the traveler had to get out of the liner on his own – crawling, clinging to the backs of the seats with his hands.
