Egypt opens hotline for tourist complaints

According to Egypt Independent, the Egyptian authorities have launched a hotline for tourists – vacationers can apply there with complaints about the service in the country.

The hotline was launched by the Egyptian Travel Agents Association (ETAA). At the telephone number 19654 or at Tourism@mota.gov.eg, tourists can submit complaints and suggestions.

Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Gada Shalabi noted that the new measure is designed to help find prompt solutions to urgent problems. The service operates around the clock.

All hotels in Egypt are required to post a hotline number in a conspicuous place at the reception. Also, contacts should be indicated on information boards at tourist attractions.
