Photographer Florian Ledoux has become a chronicler of climate change – from his travels to the Arctic Circle, he brings photographic evidence that the ice is ceasing to be eternal before our eyes.
Having first visited the Arctic Circle at the age of ten with his parents, Florian fell in love with the romance of the North, where you can travel without encountering any signs of civilization for weeks. However, today he increasingly sees how people, even without ever having been to these parts, change them beyond recognition.
In his Arctic Arts project, Ledoux collaborates with scientists and conservationists: while they collect data and conduct research, he uses his camera and drone to capture living evidence of what is happening to the planet.
For this reason, he once quit his office job and now spends more and more time not in the bustle of the metropolis, but in the silence of the Arctic. There, according to Florian, he most acutely feels his unity with nature and life itself.
