Cyprus since Monday simplifies the rules for entering the country of tourists

From February 21, the Cypriot authorities decided to ease the entry rules for foreign citizens vaccinated against the coronavirus. Already from Monday, vaccinated tourists will not need to undergo PCR or rapid testing before arriving in the republic, reports the Financial Mirror.

This measure was supposed to come into force only on March 1. However, the government considered that it was not worth delaying the decision due to the stabilization of the situation with COVID-19.

However, during the transition period, which will last until the end of the month, all passengers arriving at Larnaca and Paphos airports must pass PCR tests.

As for unvaccinated tourists, the entry rules for them will depend on the category of the country of arrival. States are now divided exclusively into “green” and “red” in terms of the epidemiological situation.

Note that the main relief, namely the abolition of coronavirus tests on arrival for vaccinated travelers, will come into force on March 1.
