Today, the Croatian Minister of Tourism announced on Twitter that this weekend the country was visited by more than half a million tourists in one day.
«According to the first data of the eVisitor system, this weekend more than 500,000 tourists were exceeded in one day. Namely, there are currently 523,000 tourists in Croatia, of which 453,000 are foreign tourists and 70,000 are local tourists, ”she wrote.

Most tourists are currently in Istria, Kvarner, Split-Dalmatia and Zadar provinces. If you look at the destinations, most of the guests are in Rovinj, Vira, Porec, Umaz, Medulin and Mali Losinj.
According to HRT, currently most tourists come from Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland and Austria.

In the first six months of 2021, Croatia was visited by 2.6 million tourists. The record year for Croatia in terms of tourism was 2019, when it was visited by more than 21 million tourists a year. This was the first time that Croatia exceeded 20 million.
