Checklist for tourists: what things to take with you if you fly longer than 4 hours

What to put in hand luggage, except for a passport and a ticket, so as not to suffer in a long flight from inconvenience, hunger and lack of sleep.

Of course, if you fly 4-5 hours, you do not need to take every thing from the list. Focus on needs, previous experience and free space in the bag.

Warm socks or slippers. Sitting for hours in hot shoes is bad for your feet. As soon as the ship reaches height, change into warm (always warm – it is cool in the cabin) socks or slippers.

Blouse. Not too big, not too thin. It can be easily removed and put in a bag, put under the neck or put away on the side of the seat.

Pillow. Inflatable takes up less space in hand luggage, but on a soft synthetic winterizer you can fall asleep right away.

Eye mask. Will come in handy during a night’s sleep and protect from too bright sunlight during the day.

Earbuds or headphones. The former will protect against low frequency noise, the latter will come in handy if you are listening to music or an audiobook.

Reusable bottle. Ask the flight attendant to fill the container to the brim – you don’t have to call the flight attendant when you want to drink.

Lens container / spectacle case. Fill the container with liquid so you don’t have to worry about it on board, and put the bottle in your luggage. If you do not wear lenses, do not forget the case, so as not to hold glasses in your hands.

Hand cream. Again, dry air on board, everything dries, including the face. Oily universal cream, such as “Baby”, suitable for face and hands.

Tablet or e-book. To avoid boredom, download audiobooks, movies or articles in advance.

Portable charging. Your phone or tablet will definitely discharge if you use them for several hours without a break.

Snack. Especially if you fly low-cost, where not fed. Take food that does not flow, does not splash, does not leave crumbs. The ideal option – salted nuts (often you want salty in the air), banana for satiety, sandwich for calories.

Toothbrush, toothpaste and soap. If the flight takes about half a day, someday you will want to freshen up: brush your teeth, wash your face. You can use chewing gum and wipe your face with wipes, but it all depends on your preferences.
