A beloved pet of commuters and a member of staff who patrolled a West Yorkshire railway station for 12 years has died. The Daily Mail reports this.
Felix was born in 2011 and joined the Trans Pennine Express team six weeks later. She worked as a senior pest control inspector at Huddersfield railway station. It is known that the cat died after being diagnosed with an incurable disease.
The black and white pet was striking not only because of its unusual coloring but also because of Felix’s uniform at work. The cat happily appeared on the station’s territory in a reflective jacket and a name badge.
She spent her days hunting mice and other small pests. Moreover, Felix managed to make friends among passengers who left her tips for food, the publisher reports.
“Felix was more than just a cat. She was a much-loved member of our station family and left her paw prints on the hearts of many passengers. Her presence brought smiles to visitors from all over the world, making Huddersfield Station special. We will miss her dearly.”, said the head of the railway station.
Felix was a popular cat, with around 170,000 followers on her Facebook page. It was they who reported the death of Felix.
