Plans to see the Northern Lights, take a ride on the Orient Express and explore the Norwegian fjords topped the list of top travel wishes for 2023.
As Express writes, a total of 40 options for rest made it to the traveler’s wish list. 2,000 respondents participated in the study.
The study also found that 65% of adults want to see as many tourist locations as possible in the world, but only 15% believe they will be able to visit everything on their wish list due to high cost, lack of time, or too long a to-do list. Almost half of the respondents (47%) do not like to go to the same places because they want to see them so much.
In addition, according to the OnePoll survey, good weather is the most important component of a dream vacation for half of those surveyed, followed by getting to know the country’s culture, nature, and history (39%), travel time (35%) and going somewhere you haven’t been before ( 29%). 19% are looking for authentic experiences, 18% are looking for local wildlife and 17% are looking for all-inclusive food and drink.

Also on the wish list of tourists are swimming in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, visiting Tutankhamun’s tomb in Egypt, a memorial visit to Auschwitz, swimming with dolphins, climbing Machu Picchu, bathing elephants in Thailand, observing icebergs in Greenland, and much more.
