“Recently, there have been an increase in the number of Russians detained during inspections at Hurghada airport who had exhausted and ammunition and shell casings banned from importing into Egypt and souvenirs made from them. The possession of the above-mentioned items by citizens under Egyptian law is tantamount to illegal possession of weapons and provides for detention, trial, fine and subsequent deportation at the expense of the perpetrator with a long-term ban from entering the country, “said the consulate in Hurghada.
