The Turkish resort province was “shaken” again – an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 was recorded in Antalya. The “natural disaster” itself happened during lunch. Fortunately, it did not reach destructive power, tourists were only a little scared, so they complain not about the fluctuations of the earth’s surface, but about everyday problems, in particular, about the high humidity that covered the resort.
According to AFAD (Turkish Ministry of Emergencies), an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 occurred in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of the Kumluk district in Antalya on Wednesday at 1:05 p.m. The resort district of Kumluk is located on the coast 90 km west of Antalya on the Teke Peninsula, among the nearest neighbors is Kemer, well known to Ukrainian tourists. According to the local media, there were no devastating consequences, the intensity of the earthquake was not so great, and the tourists were only mildly frightened.
Instead, they continue to complain about another “natural disaster” – the sea in Antalya has warmed up to an excessive 29 degrees, and due to intense evaporation of water, the humidity in the resort has increased to 80%. According to local media, clouds of fumes even obscure the view of the surrounding towns of the mountain, and also disappoint tourists who have reached the observation decks. Drivers are advised to be careful. And vacationers, as local media add, try to cool off by swimming in the sea.
