Antalya recorded an increase in tourist flow more than 2.5 times – such data were published by Turkish tourist media. According to them, in the period from January to October 2021, the number of tourists who visited Antalya increased by 163% and exceeded 8.61 million tourists. Last year, the figure was 3.27 million.
At the same time, the number of foreign tourists directly increased by 168% to 8.31 million. As expected, the largest market was Russian.
Namely – the statistics of the main tourist markets are as follows: Russia took first place in the number of tourists. The increase in Russians was 146%, a total of 3.44 million Russian tourists came to Turkey. In second place – Ukraine, where the increase was 128% and 1.25 million tourists. In third place – German tourists, their growth is even more significant – 247%, which gave 1.16 million tourists. This is followed by Poland, Kazakhstan, Romania, Belarus, the Netherlands and Moldova.
But another large Turkish market – according to media reports, the only one – showed a decline. This is Britain, which has kept Turkey on the red list all season. The number of tourists coming from this country decreased by 76% and amounted to about 50 thousand.
