An unusual winter has come to the resorts of Egypt: December, uncharacteristic of an excess of sunny days, awaits tourists this year at the resorts of the Pyramid country. According to the forecasters’ preliminary forecasts, made on the first day of the winter of the 2022-23 season, Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh will not get the usual cloudy weather that is characteristic of December, when there are even rains. The bright sun and the opportunity to sunbathe under a cloudless sky promise tourists the whole of December.
The weather, however, will not be particularly hot, although it promises to be quite comfortable. Yes, in Hurghada in the near future it will be around +24 degrees during the day, +18 at night, and the weather will “gravitate” to this level, staying at +21-24 degrees for almost the whole month. The sea temperature is still at air level +24-25.
In Sharm el-Sheikh, it is even a little warmer – while the temperature is around +27 degrees, +24-25 is expected. Gloomy days are not expected either.
We will remind that tourists, who are satisfied with sunny weather, are scared by climatologists that “unusual” weather is a bad sign of future climate changes. Which in the not-too-distant future may expel tourists from the usual resorts.
