A tourist flying home from a vacation in Ibiza was the only passenger on the plane. The rare case was reported by the Daily Mirror.
Hannah Maden-Adams, 38, received VIP treatment on her flight back home to Jersey from Ibiza when she was revealed to be the only passenger on the Blue Islands plane.
At the Spanish resort, a woman celebrated her birthday with friends and did not expect that the return flight would be a pleasant surprise: there was no one on the plane except herself and the crew. It is noted that the unique VIP flight cost the tourist just £188, as she paid for a regular economy class ticket.
When Hannah arrived at check-in, the airline staff insisted that there were no flights from Ibiza to Jersey, and some staff even said they had never heard of the place. In the end, despite the general confusion, she managed to check in for the flight, and at the gate, one of the employees informed her that she would be the only passenger on board.
The traveler was taken from the gate to the plane by car with a personal driver. The girl admitted that she spent the entire flight “with a beaming smile on her face.”
“It sounds stupid because I’m just an ordinary person, but it was very exciting: I was driven by car to the plane, and then I went on board alone. It was very surreal, but it was so great. Usually the flights are crowded, everyone with children, families, everyone talking and laughing. Instead, I was told: sit down where you want, put your luggage where you like,“ Hannah described her unforgettable experience.
The tourist added that the crew and the pilot were in the same situation as she was: they admitted to her that they had also never been on a flight with only one passenger on board.
Hannah was impressed with the service she received on her exclusive flight and said they showed a high level of professionalism right from the start:
“When we were in the air, the pilots pointed to different places and recommended them for rest. It was really fun. The flight attendants chatted the whole flight, it was great to get to know them, learn about their life,” the passenger shared her unforgettable flight experience.
