A huge loggerhead turtle attacked a Russian pensioner in Turkey. It is reported by Posta.
64-year-old Lidia Bazarova and her friend were vacationing in Antalya. One day, a woman decided to lie on her back in the water, when she suddenly felt that someone grabbed her hip:
“I didn’t immediately understand what happened, but it was just creepy. I started flailing, floundering, drowning.”
After that, the turtle re-bitten Bazarov, but already on the hand. Then the rescuer heard the screams of the tourist: he helped the Russian woman fight off the turtle, thanks to which the woman managed to swim to the shore. She later learned that the lifeguard had broken his arm.
After the incident, the victim was helped to get to the hospital. Doctors found hematomas and bite marks on her body. According to Lydia, she survived a real nightmare and now does not know if she will dare to plunge into the sea again.
