A creepy uninvited guest chased away tourists from the popular tourist attraction — the Emerald Pool in Krabi province in southern Thailand. A two-meter python “came to cool off” in the pool from the nearest wildlife reserve, Khoa Prabang Khram, where the attraction is located.
According to Thai media, citing a video on TikTok, the phenomenon of the snake has sent tourists into a panic. A few daredevils tried to drive the snake away by splashing it with water, but the day was hot and the python didn’t mind cooling off either – and eventually dived into the pool. As a result, foreigners and local tourists ran away with screams of fear in all directions.
As the media add, the python is not a poisonous snake. However, it can cause a severe bite and other injuries given its size.
“No one can swim calmly, knowing that a python is hiding below that can bite the leg at any second,” they say. The author of the video also stated that his family was in the water at the time, but as soon as the snake appeared in the pool, “they quickly decided that it was time to go home,” the expert added.
As a result, the tourists were saved by the employees of the reserve. They caught the snake from the most popular attraction and then reported that they took it to the jungle, far from places visited by tourists.
