This morning, a bus carrying Czech tourists collided with a train at an unsafe level crossing in Waskaduwa, Morning reports.
According to Kalutara North police, two tourists suffered minor injuries in the incident.
While en route to Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), the bus collided with Electric Train No. 8304, which was traveling from Aluthgama to Chilaw. The rear of the bus was seriously damaged as a result of the accident.
The train driver was admitted to Kalutara Teaching Hospital with minor eye injuries as a result of the collision.
