Ukrainian Truskavets and Turkish Kemer will strengthen cooperation in various areas, in particular, tourism, to increase the flow of foreign guests to the Lviv region.
This was discussed during a meeting of the mayors of the two cities, which took place in Truskavets on January 26, Ukrinform reports with reference to a message from the Truskavets City Council on Facebook.
“I am sure that our cooperation will have real good results, one of which will be the revival of tourist flows, an increase in the number of tourists coming to the Lviv region and, in particular, to Truskavets from Turkey. Kemer is our embassy in Turkey, our friend and partner, from whom we ourselves can learn and offer him our experience in solving certain issues, ”Truskavets mayor Andrei Kulchinsky said at a meeting with the Turkish delegation.
The plans to deepen cooperation between Ukrainian Truskavets and Turkish Kemer include holding a joint Ukrainian-Turkish-Azerbaijani medical and tourism forum, expanding cooperation with Turkish Airlines to increase the tourist flow from Turkey to the Lviv region, exchange of experience, common projects in various fields.
As part of the Turkish delegation, headed by the city chairman of Camer Necati Topaloglu, members of the municipal council of Camer, a representative of the Union of Hotels of Camer.
Necati Topaloglu urged Truskavians to spend their holidays in Turkish Kemer.
Cooperation between Kemer and Truskavets was launched in 2019. In December 2019, a delegation from Kemer visited Truskavets, on October 19, 2021, an agreement on partnership and cooperation between the cities was signed in Kemer.
As you know, since 2008, Kemer has already been a sister city of Yuzhny in the Odessa region. In September 2018, Turkish Square was opened in Yuzhny as a sign of twinning between the two cities.
