Britain’s Health Minister Sajid Javid has said it is clear that Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to attack Ukraine’s sovereignty and believes the invasion has already begun, according to Reuters.
“We are waking up to a very gloomy day for Europe, and from what we have seen and understood today, it is clear that the Russians, President Putin, have decided to attack Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” he told Sky News.

“We have seen that he has recognized these breakaway eastern regions of Ukraine, and we can already judge by the reports that he sent tanks and troops.”
From this we can conclude that the invasion of Ukraine has begun, the minister added. Javid added that today Prime Minister Boris Johnson will make a statement in parliament on Ukraine.
“We will get more information about this story as it progresses,” he said.

On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the recognition of the sovereignty of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (the so-called DPR and LPR). Agreements on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance were signed with their leaders.
