Kyiv is sending 45 buses to evacuate civilians from the besieged city of Mariupol, where Russia’s Defense Ministry has announced a local ceasefire, Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk said.
“Tonight, the International Committee of the Red Cross told us that Russia is ready to open access to the humanitarian corridor from Mariupol to Zaporozhye through the Russian-controlled port of Berdyansk,” she said in a video published in the Telegram.
“We are sending 45 buses through this corridor,” she said.
