Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air is ready to give away 100,000 free tickets for all flights from continental Europe and Great Britain to citizens of Ukraine. Details were reported by Travel Weekly.
Free flights are offered for travel between September 15 and December 8 on the Wizz Air Hungary and Wizz Air UK (Great Britain) networks. The offer covers more than 800 routes. First of all, the initiative was supposed to help Ukrainian refugees to fly to the UK after the beginning of the Russian invasion, and now it helps Ukrainians to travel to Europe. “Our goal is to ease the burden of Ukrainian citizens,” Jozef Varady, the executive director of the airline, said about the mission.
To receive the discount, travelers must provide their Ukrainian passport details at the time of booking. They will also be asked to present the original document and required visa/travel documents at the time of check-in.
