Abu Dhabi canceled quarantine for guests from Ukraine

The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism has included Ukraine in the list of countries, upon arrival from which travelers do not need to undergo mandatory quarantine in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The updated list will become relevant from July 31, 2021.

The list of safe destinations from the CIS countries also includes Armenia and Moldova. Passengers arriving from the list of safe countries will not need to undergo quarantine, but upon arrival in the UAE capital, they will take PCR tests for COVID-19 at the local airport. Travelers departing from the UAE are advised to ensure that their destination country accepts tourists before traveling.

It should be noted that between Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, Greece, Serbia and the Seychelles there are so-called “green” corridors, which means a quarantine-free stay in these countries and upon returning to the UAE.

Earlier, new safety rules for UAE citizens and residents returning from abroad came into force in Abu Dhabi. Vaccinated travelers returning from green-listed countries take PCR tests upon arrival and on the sixth day of their stay in Abu Dhabi, while they are exempted from quarantine.

The rule applies to vaccinated UAE citizens and residents who received a second dose of COVID-19 vaccine at least 28 days ago, which must be documented in the Al Hosn app.

Unvaccinated UAE citizens and residents arriving in Abu Dhabi from the Green List countries take PCR tests upon arrival, as well as on the sixth and 12th days of their stay in the UAE capital. All others are quarantined for 12 days, wear electronic bracelets and take PCR tests upon arrival and on the 11th day of their stay in the capital.
