According to Turizm Aktuel, Turkey has every chance to become a leader in providing medical services to foreigners. This was stated by the head of the Turkish Health Tourism Association (TÜSATDER) Servet Trailer.
He noted that the key to success is the high quality of services provided at a competitive price. Thus, the cost of a hair transplant by a specialist in Europe is 15,000 euros, in the USA – 12,000 dollars, in Japan – 30,000 dollars, and in Turkey – 2,500 euros (this amount includes flight and hotel accommodation).
The most requested medical procedures in Turkey are hair transplantation and aesthetic surgeries.
According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), tourists spent $1.048 billion on wellness last year. This figure could double this year. The country’s total health tourism revenue is expected to exceed $3 billion.
