In the last 24 hours, 26,155 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in China, including 3,529 symptomatic and 22,626 asymptomatic, the National Health Commission said today, according to Reuters.
In the previous 24 hours, 24,791 new cases of the disease were registered in the country – 3,896 with symptoms and 20,895 asymptomatic, which were calculated separately by the authorities.
Most cases were concentrated in the financial center of Shanghai, the epicenter of the latest Chinese wave of coronavirus.
In the 25-million-strong city of isolation, 21,582 asymptomatic cases were reported yesterday, up from 19,923 the day before, and 3,238 symptomatic cases.
