A mutation in the omicron variant was recorded in three people on Friday. The new subvariant of the virus is called BA.2.
In turn, Johann Lenerstad, associate professor of microbiology at the academic laboratory, said it was too early to talk about the danger and level of resistance of the newly discovered mutation.
It will be recalled that the DIP previously reported that “Professor: the omicron strain of coronavirus will not disappear, but will circulate indefinitely.”
