The peak of the new wave of coronavirus infections in France will be at the end of July, BNR reports.
The current wave is caused by a subvariant of omicron BA.5.
In the last twenty-four hours, almost 125,000 new cases have been reported in France, up from about 78,000 a week ago.
The French government has recommended that people start wearing masks again in crowded places, including public transport.
