The powerful typhoon Hinnamnor is approaching the islands in the south of the country, according to the National Meteorological Agency of Japan.
The typhoon moves at a speed of 30 km/h, and gusts of wind in it reach 252 km/h. It is expected to approach Japan tonight with wind speeds of up to 270 km/h.
The typhoon will bring with it showers with hurricane-force winds. Residents of Japan are being urged to be careful and move into solid buildings in advance.
