For anyone considering moving abroad, relocation experts from 1st Move International have revealed the world’s most sought-after destinations. Reasons for relocation vary — from seeking a warmer climate or lower cost of living to the dream of embracing a new culture and lifestyle.
Canada remains on top for a second year
A global analysis of Google searches found that Canada ranks first with 269,220 relocation-related searches this year.
The country outperformed 74 others and retained its top spot, attracting people with breathtaking landscapes and a high quality of life.
In second place is Australia, with 207,900 searches from people dreaming of pristine beaches and a relaxed lifestyle.
Ireland comes third with 179,400 searches, followed closely by New Zealand (177,700) and Japan (172,880).

Britons dream of the United States
The study also revealed that U.S. destinations are the most desired among Britons, followed by the UAE and Australia.
Within the U.S., New York City remains the top relocation choice for the second consecutive year, with Los Angeles and Miami also ranking high.

Canada shows no signs of slowing down, while smaller nations like Cyprus and New Zealand are becoming increasingly attractive.
“These destinations offer a slower pace of life without sacrificing opportunity, which is increasingly important for people starting a new chapter,” Harvey added.
