A bus carrying about 50 refugees from Ukraine overturned on a highway in northern Italy, killing one passenger. Several people were injured, but none were seriously hurt, Italian state radio said.
One woman died, the rest of the passengers were successfully evacuated.
The accident happened early this morning near the town of Forlì in the Emilia-Romagna region. It is not yet clear which direction the bus was heading.
Some 35,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Italy since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Most of them crossed the northeastern border with Slovenia.
The Emilia-Romagna region, which borders the Adriatic Sea, has hosted around 7,000 refugees to date.
The accident is under investigation.
