On February 15, 2021, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to Ukraine J.V. Mr. Bakir Ahmed Al-Jaf met at the Embassy with Mr. Adele Benissa, Chargé d’Affaires of the State of Libya in Ukraine.
At the beginning of the meeting J.V. Ambassador Al-Jaf welcomed the Honorable Guest and summarized the political and economic situation in Iraq, emphasizing the position of the Iraqi Government to support all regional and international initiatives that promote security and stability in fraternal Libya, including constructive dialogue between all Parties in Libya. , preserving the unity of the country and refraining from foreign interference in its internal affairs.
The sides also exchanged views on issues of common interest – ways to improve fraternal relations between the two diplomatic missions, as well as cooperation in various activities aimed at strengthening friendship and cooperation with the Ukrainian side, for the benefit of all parties.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Adele Benissa thanked J.V. Ambassador Al-Jaffa for the warm welcome and hospitality, expressing gratitude to the people and political leadership of Libya for the fraternal position of Iraq.
