Guests of the InterContinental Hotel in Singapore, where it often rains, can take advantage of a unique opportunity, reports the New York Post.
If the weather turns bad and rains during your stay, guests will receive compensation. This offer is available to those staying in suites for approximately $630 per night. Compensation is provided in the form of a one-night stay voucher, which can be used during the week if it rains for more than 120 minutes in any 4 hours during the day.
The idea came from the hotel’s general manager Andreas Kremer, who was inspired by a friend’s joke that a good weather guarantee could become a new trend in premium travel.
“I was talking to a group of friends about what’s next in luxury travel, and one of them jokingly commented that being able to guarantee good weather would be the next level,” he said.
Singapore has one of the highest rainfall levels in the world, with 171 rainy days a year.
