Grand Hyatt Cancún Beach Resort will be another Hyatt-branded luxury resort in Latin America. The start of the project coincided well with the growing demand for tourist travel.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the start of construction of the new Grand Hyatt Cancún Beach Resort in Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is expected to open by the 2024 summer season.
The new hotel has a chic location – in the eastern part of the Yucatan Peninsula, with magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea and the nearby island of Mujeres. The hotel has 500 rooms, 28 of them have a private plunge pool, and 46 are luxurious suites, including one Presidential Suite. 11 restaurants of various concepts will feature world-class chefs and iconic dishes.
Six bars will open on-site, including a lobby lounge bar, a pool bar, and beach shack, an indoor and outdoor spa, a fitness center, three swimming pools, and over 1,500 square meters of state-of-the-art conference rooms for events of any size and kind. Additional services include a kids club, an active recreation center, a business center, and retail stores.
The resort will be located in Puerto Cancun, a resort community that includes a full-service marina, golf course, resorts, condominiums, single-family homes, a state-of-the-art fitness, and recreation center, a protected nature reserve, and a shopping center offering open-air shopping in more than 220 stores, gourmet restaurants, art galleries, and children’s entertainment activities. Strategically positioned between downtown Cancun and Cancun’s hotel zone, Puerto Cancun combines vibrant city life with resort and natural surroundings, positioning the new Grand Hyatt as an attraction for tourists and locals alike.
The Grand Hyatt Cancún Beach Resort will join 18 existing Hyatt hotels in Cancun, including luxury all-inclusive resorts under the AMR Collection brands. In addition, the new hotel will be a milestone in the development of the Grand Hyatt brand in the Americas, along with Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, Grand Hyatt Bogotá, Grand Hyatt Nashville, Grand Hyatt at SFO, and Grand Hyatt Vail, all of which have been opened in the past five years.
