European hotels want to ban mini-packs of toiletries

The European Commission has proposed to ban the use of disposable toiletries in hotels – shampoos, gels, toothbrushes, and toothpaste in mini-packages.

Consideration of the bill is scheduled for 2023.

Everything that was provided in hotels for free and that you could not take with you on a trip can be banned. Of course, guests will not be left without toiletries; everything they need will be provided in large reusable bottles.

According to the European Commission’s materials, each European produces almost 180 kg of packaging waste per year. Ecologists predict that by 2030 the volume of packaging waste in the EU will increase by another 19%, including 46% more plastic packaging.
