Accor, Hilton and Hyatt will not open new hotels in Russia

Hotel operators Accor, Hilton and Hyatt have announced the suspension of their development activities in Russia and will not open new properties in the regions. This is reported by the press services of the companies.

In particular, Hilton has already closed its corporate office in Moscow, but will continue to pay salaries to network employees who work in existing facilities.

Hyatt is also not ready to invest in construction in Russia. “We will continue to evaluate hotel activities in the Russian Federation and comply with the sanctions and directives of the US government that apply to us,” the message says.

Finally, Accor, which includes the Novotel and Ibis brands, is suspending the opening of new facilities in Russia, but continues to manage its 50 hotels.

Note that Hilton has 29 hotels in the Russian Federation, both in the capitals and in many regions. Hyatt is represented in Moscow, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don and Yekaterinburg.
